회전자가 늘 자기력에 의해 일정한 위치에서 유지되기 때문에 작은 고립이 있어도 문제가 되지 않으며, 정상적인 조건에서 회전자가 정지되지 않는다.
장기간 사용하지 않은 경우에도 펌프는 안정적으로 사용할 수 있다.
TDC 펌프는 영구자석 회전자와 일펠러 유니트는 고정자 에 의해 발생되는 자장에 의해 구동된다. 고정자는 회전자 부부은 완전하게 감싸고 었어서 펌프는 회전자 보다 약간 큰 1.4인치 이므로 협소한 공간에 적합다다.
