Spindle ball bearings
Spindle ball bearings are angular contact ball bearings.
The forces are transmitted from one raceway to the other, normally 15° or 25°.
Characteristics:
- Support of axial load in one direction only
- Adjustment against a second bearing is necessary
- Extended ball complement compared to deep groove ball bearings
- High rigidity and loading capacity, radial and axial
- Suitable for very high speeds
Application-specific, optimal bearings
It is GMN's philosophy to offer the best possible bearing for each application.
This includes the possibility of selecting the bearing according to the space available as well as increasing the operating speed of a given bearing size.
Standard bearing series
GMN's bearing series S satisfies high requirements on speed strength, load capacity and stiffness.
An increase of speed is possible with the series SM... , SH... and SMI...
The achievable speed is increased by the series KH... and in addition the possibility is created of sealing the bearing.
Hybrid ball bearings
An additional increase in speed can be achieved by hybrid ball bearings.
With grease lubrication in particular, many spindles reach the highest processing speed at low production and maintenance costs.
Separable spindle bearings and extra wide special bearings
Being the world wide leading producer of machine spindles, GMN knows first hand the demands in modern bearing systems.
GMN also produces separable spindle bearings and extra wide special bearings with extended grease reservoir.
