Taper Grid Coupling

The Woo Chang taper grid coupling is torsionally flexible to absorb shock loads and vibration. When an overload occurs during use, the grid breaks and acts as a safety device to prevent damage to the shaft and machine. Also, when serious misalignment occurs due to machinery damage during use, the grid or hub breaks away, halting action and preventing the spread of damage. Vibration reduction more than doubles the service life of mechanical seals, bearings, and other parts. Grid couplings produce excellent power transmission performance with low noise. The grid is manufactured according to industry standards, making it completely interchangeable.
